Policy
The
College of Nursing, Nirmala Medical Centre welcomes aspiring nursing
professionals to join our institution and pursue a rewarding career in
healthcare. Our admissions process is based on merit, eligibility criteria,
and regulatory guidelines set by the Indian Nursing Council (INC)
and the State Nursing Council.

Eligibility
Criteria
1.
B.Sc. Nursing
- Must have
completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
- Minimum
aggregate marks: 45% (40% for reserved categories).
- Must be
medically fit.
- Admission
through entrance examination/interview as per university or state
government regulations.
Admission

- Application
Process:

offline submission of application form.
- Submission
of required documents (mark sheets, ID proof, medical certificate, etc.).
- Entrance
Examination/Interview:
- As per
institutional or state government guidelines (if applicable).
- Selection
& Counseling:

Academic
Regulations
1.
Attendance and Participation
- A minimum
of 80% attendance in both theory and practical sessions is
mandatory.
- Clinical
postings require 100% attendance for eligibility in final exams.
- Leave
requests must be formally approved by the academic coordinator.
2.
Examination and Evaluation
- Continuous
internal assessments through tests, assignments, and practical
evaluations.
- Semester/annual
university examinations as per academic regulations.
- Minimum
pass percentage: 50% in theory and practical (as per INC
guidelines).
- Students
failing in any subject must clear supplementary exams as per
university norms.
3.
Clinical Training and Internship
- Hands-on
clinical training at Nirmala Medical Centre and affiliated hospitals.
- Adherence
to ethical nursing practices during training.
- Successful
completion of internship is mandatory for graduation.
4.
Code of Conduct
- Students
must maintain discipline, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
- Any form of
misconduct, including ragging, harassment, or malpractice, will
result in disciplinary action.
- Dress code:
Nursing uniform is mandatory during clinical and academic sessions.
5.
Leave and Break Policy
- Academic
breaks as per university calendar.
- Medical
leave requires a certified doctor’s note.
- Unauthorized
absences may lead to academic penalties.
