The Department of Child Health Nursing at College of Nursing, Nirmala Medical Centre is dedicated to the art and science of providing specialized nursing care to children from birth through adolescence. Our focus is on promoting physical growth, mental, emotional, and psycho-social development while ensuring high-quality care. The department actively engages in training students to recognize normal growth patterns, identify deviations, and contribute to research in child health nursing. We equip our nursing students with in-depth knowledge, clinical skills, and a compassionate approach, preparing them to function effectively as neonatal and pediatric nurses in diverse healthcare settings.

Objectives

• To train students in acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to address the healthcare needs of infants, children, and their families in various clinical settings.
• To implement student-centered teaching and learning strategies that enhance confidence in child health nursing competencies.
• To provide opportunities for students to assess and respond to the healthcare needs of children across all age groups through comprehensive care.
