The Student Support and Guidance Program
(SSGP) at the College of Nursing, Nirmala Medical Centre is a
flagship initiative of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS)
designed to provide holistic support to students. This program focuses on academic
excellence, emotional well-being, career guidance, and mentorship, ensuring
that every student receives personalized support to thrive in their nursing
education

Key Services Under SSGP & Mentorship Program
1. Academic Support and Mentoring
- One-on-one and group mentoring
sessions with faculty mentors.
- Personalized guidance on study
techniques, time management, and exam preparation.
- Support for research projects,
presentations, and skill development.
2. Emotional and Psychological
Well-being
- Individual counseling for stress,
anxiety, and emotional concerns.

3. Mentorship Program
- Each student is assigned a faculty
mentor who provides guidance throughout their academic journey.
- Senior students act as peer
mentors, helping juniors adjust to academic and clinical training.
- Regular mentor-mentee interactions to track academic progress,
address concerns, and provide career counseling.
- Special mentorship sessions for students
facing academic difficulties to ensure timely intervention and
support.
4. Career Guidance and Professional
Development
- Career counseling for higher
